Psalm 40:33
Psalm 40:33 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
Hear the Psalmist speak. “He put a new song in my mouth.” Day after day we go and put forth before the Lord an old song. Time after time, service after service, a song that has already been sung. The Lord truly loves that which is old, and that which is good. He surely does not tell us to not bring before Him praises only that are new. However, He loves new things. One of the things He put in us by His character is that we are to create new things.
Let us today do the same. Instead of going forth with the same old prayers, and the same old songs, go for with a new word on your lips to Him. Have you ever worshiped Him in a new song? Do you remember the closeness to your God? Speak a new poem of love to Him, a new poem of adoration and praise for His deeds. A new hymn of praise for the glory that surrounds Him and the glory of His great name. It is from our lips that the world will hear of His glory, and it is our lips that declare that which is within our hearts.
So let us today, and henceforth, raise up His name is praise. Let our hearts be filled with His Spirit in filled with praise so that the world may hear, and the world may see His glory.
